Unmasking The Mind Gala!

This year, our gala is being hosted by the Foundation for Educational Hope. This 501c3 organization has been developed to raise money to assist schools and other charitable organizations serving the needs of children. Funds raised through the Unmasking The Mind Gala will be donated to Innovations International Charter School of Nevada, a public K-12 charter school serving the needs of a diverse population of students.

IICSN, a school that is supported by the foundation for this gala, was opened within Clark County School District in Las Vegas, Nevada in August of 2006 with 362 students in kindergarten through twelfth grade.  Additional classes were opened to accommodate the entry of new students and the advancement of enrolled students for the past five years until there is currently an enrollment of more than 750 students for the 2011 – 2012 school year.

This school, fully accredited by the Northwest Accreditation Commission, is driven by its academic focus and instructional model. This model calls for staff to develop relationships with its families and students in an effort to customize the education offered students in the classrooms. Innovations builds a strong culture of learning and student empowerment incorporating a way of teaching that defines the charter school movement across the nation.

The Unmasking The Mind Gala is an event that celebrates artistic expression and entertainment. Masks for the event are designed and painted by local artists throughout the Las Vegas Valley and beyond. Celebrities from many fields of entertainment, politicians, and business owners sign the masks that are auctioned at the gala. Many of the celebrities choose to design and paint their own masks, making them a one-of-a-kind collector’s piece.  A live auction is the central focus of the gala. Masks are displayed and brought forward for a lively round of bidding. The highest bidder takes the mask home for the evening.

Tickets for the gala can be purchased in advance or at the door for the price of $35.00 each or two for $60.00. Come and join us for a fun filled evening!
